- Join one: a member must add you or send you an invite link. Tap the invite notification in your Chat feed to open the group.

Group Profiles: rename, notifications and Bitmoji
Swipe right from the Camera and tap the group’s Bitmoji icon to open its Group Profile, which shows the group’s saved Snaps and Chats. Tap ⋮ at the top to leave, rename the group, manage notifications, add friends and more.
- Your Bitmoji is always front and center in the group pose, with the three most active members in the front spots. Up to 10 Bitmoji appear.
- Poses change with Group Charms (which highlight creative and active members) and birthdays.
Group Chat tips: Streaks, read receipts and mentions
- Streaks: Snapchat says Snaps sent to a group don’t count toward your Streak with any one person, but can count toward a Streak for the whole group.
- Who’s seen it: press and hold a message to see who’s read or saved it. When members open a Snap, their names appear below it.
- Mention someone: type their display name, or @ and pick their username.
- Name bubbles: when someone opens the chat, their Bitmoji and name appear above your keyboard (colors are random). Tap one to see their Friendship Profile, or add them if they aren’t your friend.
What you can send in a Chat
- Photos: tap the photos icon to send Memories or Camera Roll pictures.
- Stickers: tap the smiley face. Press and hold one to Add to Favorites (heart tab) or Remove from Recents.
- Recent links and content: tap + to share things you recently sent, received or favorited.
- Location: in a one-to-one Chat, Snapchat lets you share your current location or a meetup point from the sticker picker. Our tip: share your location only with people you know in real life.
