Quick answer
Creator in the Partner Program? Sign in to the eligible channel and open the Chat icon (top right of YouTube Studio) or Creator Support in the Help Center. Anyone else: tag @TeamYouTube on X (monitored Monday 9 AM to Friday 5 PM Pacific) or post in the YouTube Help Community. Billing, Premium or TV account problems: use YouTube’s paid-product support. YouTube says there’s no in-person support at any office.

Why this happens: the possible causes
Pick the route that matches your problem.
| Route | Who | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Help chat in YouTube Studio | Eligible creators, signed in to the eligible channel | Account, policy, copyright, Content ID, channel management |
| @TeamYouTube on X | Everyone | Quick questions, updates, troubleshooting tips |
| YouTube Help Community | Everyone | Answers from community members and TeamYouTube |
| Paid-product support (email, phone or chat) | Premium, Music, TV subscribers | Billing, subscriptions, account lockouts |
| Send feedback | Everyone | Reporting a problem when nothing else reaches YouTube |
- Chat is only for eligible creatorsCheck this first
YouTube says you must be signed in to an eligible channel, such as one in the YouTube Partner Program.
Try these 60-second checks first
- Search the YouTube Help Center first: the Help button is at the bottom of any YouTube page.
- Creators: make sure you’re signed in to the right channel.
How to fix it, step by step
Work through these in order. They start with the quickest, safest checks and only move to steps that sign you out or remove data later.
Fix 1: Creators: use Help chat in YouTube Studio
YouTube says Help chat is limited to eligible creators signed in to the eligible channel, such as one in the YouTube Partner Program.
Computer (browser)
- Sign in to YouTube Studio with the eligible channel.
- Click the Chat icon (top right), or go to Creator Support in the YouTube Help Center.
- Some creators first get AI-enhanced chat for immediate help. YouTube says it can troubleshoot and answer questions about payments, policy and monetization, but can’t change your account.
YouTube says chat helps with account troubleshooting, policy and copyright guidelines, channel management, technical tips, and Content ID. It also says the AI Help chat isn’t available in the EU, UK or Switzerland. Some eligible creators can be connected to a live agent for complex issues.

- Include the details in what to include. Don’t post personal details publicly.
- Expect replies in working hours: YouTube says the handle is monitored from Monday 9 AM PT to Friday 5 PM PT, in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.

What @TeamYouTube can’t help with
- Hacked channels: YouTube says go to Creator Support. See YouTube channel hacked.
- Copyright disputes with a rightsholder, and legal disputes.
- Reactivating or removing AdSense accounts. See YouTube payment not received.
- Disagreeing with a policy decision. Use the appeal routes in YouTube strikes.
- Refunds (you can start many yourself) and issues with non-Google devices such as Amazon Fire Stick or Roku.
Premium, Music and TV account problems
YouTube says account-specific paid-product issues need YouTube Support by email, phone or chat, because they may need personal information: billing, adding or removing packages, managing a subscription, forgotten passwords and lockouts, and channel terminations that were already appealed. Start from the Help Center’s YouTube Premium, Music or TV section. For cancelling and refunds, see YouTube Premium cancel or billing.
What to include when you ask for help
- Your channel or video URL.
- Screenshots of the problem as you see it.
- The device you’re using.
- For YouTube TV problems, a Stats for Nerds screenshot.
Don’t share publicly: your email address, phone number or card details. Our tip: in a public post, describe the problem and wait for TeamYouTube to move you to a private channel if needed.
Can I call or visit YouTube?
YouTube says it doesn’t offer in-person support at any Google or YouTube office. Phone and email support exist for paid-product account issues. Everyone else uses the Help Center, Help Community, @TeamYouTube, or Send feedback.
