Quick answer
Restart your device first. On a phone, update the YouTube app and, if that doesn’t help, uninstall and reinstall it, and make sure your Google Account is added to the device. On a smart TV, streaming device or console, use the latest YouTube app and reset the app in its Settings (this signs you out). If you see “Your password is correct, but we no longer support signing in with your YouTube username”, sign in with your Google Account email and the same password. If you can’t sign in on any device, YouTube says to recover your Google Account.
Does this match what you see?
- The YouTube app won’t let you sign in, or keeps signing you out.
- Your smart TV or console won’t accept your account.
- YouTube says it no longer supports signing in with your YouTube username.
