Why this happens: the possible causes
What you can see where.
| Page | Computer | iPhone and Android app |
|---|---|---|
| Saved reels and videos | Yes: your name > Reels > Saved Reels | Yes: Menu > your name > Reels > Saved |
| Liked reels and videos | No | Yes: Menu > your name > Reels > Liked |

- Liked is app-onlyCheck this first
Meta says to see reels and videos you’ve liked, use the Facebook app for iPhone or Android.
- You reacted, but didn’t LikeCheck this first
Meta says the Liked page doesn’t show reels or videos you’ve unliked or reacted to with a reaction other than Like.
Try these 60-second checks first
- Look on your profile’s Reels tab, not in Feed.
- Use the app to see Liked.
How to fix it, step by step
Work through these in order. They start with the quickest, safest checks and only move to steps that sign you out or remove data later.
Fix 1: Save a reel or video
Meta says you can save reels and videos you see on Facebook to view later, on every device including Facebook Lite.
- While watching the reel or video, tap or click Options.
- Tap Save reel or Save video.
Did it work? It appears on your Saved page.

Fix 2: Find your saved or liked reels
Meta keeps saved and liked reels on your profile’s Reels tab.
iPhone & iPad
- Tap Menu (top left on iPhone, bottom right on iPad), then your name.
- Tap Reels, above Details.
- Tap Saved or Liked.
Android
- Tap Menu (top left).
- Tap Reels, above Details.
- Tap Saved or Liked.
Computer (browser)
- From your Feed, click your name on the left.
- Click Reels > Saved Reels.
- Click the reel you want to watch.
- Liked reels aren’t shown on a computer: use the app.
Facebook Lite: tap Menu (top right of Feed) > Saved, then swipe down to the reel or video. Lite shows saved items only; Meta says liked reels need the Facebook app for iPhone or Android. Meta says your saved and liked pages are only visible to you.
Did it work? You see your saved or liked reels.
Did Fix 2 solve it?
Great, you fixed it with Fix 2. Tell us it worked, or bookmark this page in case it happens again.
Download your own reel to your phone
Saving a reel keeps it on Facebook. To get a copy on your phone, Meta lets you download reels you posted, in the app (not on a computer).
- From your Feed, tap your profile picture (top left).
- Tap Reels, next to Photos.
- Tap the reel, then Options > Download reel. It goes to your gallery (Android) or camera roll (iPhone).
What you can and can’t download
- Reels you posted after September 2025: yes, including any video you uploaded, since Meta says all new videos are now reels.
- Videos you posted before September 2025: Meta calls these legacy videos. Their download options haven’t changed: if you couldn’t download one before, you can’t now.
- Other people’s reels or videos: no. Meta says you can’t download reels or legacy videos created by others. Our tip: save them to watch later instead (how).
Downloaded reel has no sound?
Meta says the download is muted if your reel uses someone else’s original audio, or is a remix of a reel that uses original audio. With licensed music, the audio may be muted or only partly included, depending on the reel’s length and your country’s music rights. See reel music.
A liked or saved reel is missing
- You used another reaction (like Love or Haha)? Meta says the Liked page only shows reels and videos you liked, not other reactions, and not ones you’ve unliked. All your reactions are in your activity log (external site, opens in a new tab).
- On a computer? Liked reels only show in the iPhone and Android apps.
- Saved reel won’t play or has gone? Our note: if the person who posted it deleted it, removed it or changed who can see it, you may lose access. See why a video may no longer be available.
How to know it worked
- You can save reels and find them again.
Still not working? Your next steps
- Reels won’t play at all? See Facebook videos not playing. No sound? See Facebook video no sound.
