TikTok Rewards Not Working? Invite Codes, Points, Gift Cards and Missing Payments

TikTok Rewards is TikTok’s referral program: invite new people, complete tasks and earn points you can redeem for offers and gift cards. Most problems come from its rules: TikTok says invited friends must be brand new to TikTok on their device, must enter your code (tapping the link isn’t enough), and codes and links expire. Fix 1: Invite a friend so it counts

These are TikTok’s steps and conditions for a referral to earn rewards.

  1. Tap the TikTok Rewards icon on your For You feed or your Profile to open the activity page.
  2. Go to the Rewards or Earn points tab and tap Invite, or browse the referral campaigns and follow their instructions.
  3. Your friend opens your link, taps Join TikTok, downloads the app, creates an account and enters your code.

TikTok says the friend must be a new user who has never downloaded TikTok, created an account or used TikTok on their device. You must already have an account. Links and codes expire after a limited time.

Enter a friend’s code

  • From their link: open it, tap Open app (or Join TikTok to download first), enter the code and tap Confirm.
  • In the app: open your TikTok Rewards page, enter the code and tap Confirm.

TikTok says a friend’s code only works for someone who has never registered for TikTok or downloaded the app, and each code is only available for a limited time after registration, so enter it soon after you sign up.

Daily watch tasks and the “Post a video” task

  • Daily watch task: TikTok says it’s only for new users who were invited and downloaded TikTok for the first time on their device. Open the activity page, tap Watch and watch for 10 minutes. It must be done within 24 hours, for 7 days, within your first 10 days on TikTok, and only counts when you start from the Watch button. Rewards are valid for 30 days after you get them.
  • “Post a video using #TikTokRewards”: on the Earn points tab, tap Post next to the task, create your video, add #TikTokRewards and post. TikTok says it’s only for people new to TikTok, you can earn points once a day when you post through that Post button, and the video must follow the Community Guidelines.

Redeem points for offers and gift cards

On your TikTok Rewards screen, tap the Rewards tab, then under Offers & gift cards choose one and follow the steps. TikTok says:

  • You must meet the minimum requirements before you can redeem.
  • An Amazon account can only be linked to one TikTok account.
  • Each offer or gift card is one-time use; don’t share the code until you’re ready to use it.
  • Use it before it expires.
  • Offers and gift cards only work in the country or region where your TikTok account is registered.

Reward payment hasn’t arrived

TikTok says it can take up to 15 business days for a payment to be processed and reach your bank or third-party payment account. If it still hasn’t arrived after that, go to Profile > Menu ☰ > Settings and privacy > Report a problem and follow the steps. TikTok says it reviews requests during regular business hours.
